The salad was fresh, the bread was warm and crusty and the chicken picatta and baked ziti were amazing!! Ended our meal with turtle cheesecake - so yummy! Highly recommend Bambini's!!
In Southport for the weekend, found this place on a Google search and holy cow, amazing pizza. 110% recommend.
Such a great family run shop! Despite showing up 15 minutes before closing they gladly accepted my order and stayed late to finish it! Very thankful for their hospitality! The owner was there hanging out with customers and talking about his older children working there. It's nice to know they don't just hire anyone but truly care about the quality of their food! Everything we got was great! The pizza was loaded with toppings and sooo good! The antipasto salad was beautifully put together and also loaded with all the toppings! We will definitely be returning next time we are in town!
They just treated us with utmost care which happened to include some divine eats, drinks, and conversations. Very cozy atmosphere matched their attentive, timely, customer-oriented skills. Thank you so much for the affordable, tasty feast and for sharing with us your sense of global service! We hope to return again.
We just had a delicious meal at Bambini's. Both the cheesesteak and pizza exceeded expectations; the cheesesteak was full of meat and the pizza was loaded with toppings. Everything was served piping hot (which often doesn't happen in restaurants anymore). Strongly recommend!
The food is excellent, each and every time we dine here. The bread, what can I say...so good, hot and crispy! The pasta portions are enormous, even the small. Love the atmosphere and that it's locally owned and operated. Tips on Wednesdays go to Missions, win win. Get to know Vonda, she's a joy to talk to!
We had Spaghetti with meat sauce and Fettuccine Alfredo. Both were amazing!!! The bread it came with was delicious as was the cannoli. The portions are large enough for at least 2 people. Even the delivery guy was super nice.
This was my first time ordering from Bambinis, and I must say it was delicous! great crust texture, excellent sauce, and toppings are generous compared to other shops. You can tell they are using quality provisions to craft the Pizza, would have to second, the 5 star reviews, and I'm sure there can be a wait during Peak weekends / holidays, but no issues here in waiting for a quality Pizza. Very friendly staff, you can tell they take pride in crafting quality Pizzas and other italian dishes and that takes time. Give them a try! and remember you are on Island /Coastal Time in Southport, life here is more relaxed and more layed back than you might be used to.

I hesitate to write this review because I'm almost afraid more people will discover this place and it'll become impossible to get a table! If you're looking for authentic New York-style pizza in the Southport/Oak Island area, this is it. Kenny and Fonda have built something really special at Bambini's. You can tell they pour their hearts into every pizza that comes out of the oven. The crust is exactly what a New York pizza should be—thin, flavorful, and perfectly crisp with just the right chew. And don't even get me started on the garlic knots... they're hands down the best I've ever had. They're worth the trip all by themselves. What makes Bambini's even better is the people. Kenny and Fonda treat customers like family, and after eight years in business, it's easy to see why they have such a loyal following. If you appreciate great food made by genuinely good people, do yourself a favor and give Bambini's a try. Just don't blame me if it becomes your new favorite pizza place!
